Elite Four: Wikstrom and Siebold - Part 48

A reminder: this is the end game, so this will be mostly serious posting.

So here we go.

I head for the third Elite Four member, I go into the Ironworks Chamber.

Inside here is the fully, armor clad, Wilkstrom. To top it off he is a gentleman and meets me halfway instead of sitting in his chair.

I'm scared of one his Pokémon and that's not his first, but I'll let you guys know which it is when it comes out.

He first sends out his Klefki at level 63 against my Master Chi at level 61.

I'm here to win so I Mega Evolve Master Chi right away. Klefki is actually faster so it gets a Spikes off, but if all goes well that was a useless move. I attack with a Power-Up Punch to deal some damage and power myself up more. I use another Power-Up Punch and it critical hits and takes Klefki down.

Wilkstrom now sends out the Pokémon, I'm scared of, his Probopass at level 63.

I'm scared of it more so because it looks like a pedophile and because it has Sturdy.

Master Chi gets a Power-Up Punch off, but Sturdy saves Probopass. Probopass gets off a strong Earth Power. Wilkstrom uses a Full Restore on it, and I hit for another Power-Up Punch, still getting my attacked boosted every time. Sturdy saves it again and again it is healed by Wilkstrom. This time I hit it with a Power-Up Punch and take it to 1 HP one more time, but there are no more healing items. I take it out with one last Power-Up Punch.

The scariest is gone.

Wilkstrom sends out an Aegislash at level 65.

Master Chi isn't scared, all those Power-Up Punches have made it strong enough to take it down with one Earthquake.

Master Chi grows a level just in time to go up against his last Pokémon, Scizor at level 63.

Another Earthquake is all it takes.

Wilkstrom is taken down and that is the third Elite Four member taken care of. All we have now is the last and worst...

I head into the Flood Chamber.

I come in contact with Siebold, the Water trainer. In my previous playthrough this is the guy to fear. He is difficult.

Better start now.

He sends out his Clawitzer at level 63, first.

I send out Amy against this one. Amy let's off a Dragon Claw first, and Clawitzer counters with a Dragon Pulse. I use another Dragon Claw and down goes Siebold's first choice.

Siebold sends out his second, a Gyarados level 63.

I send out Master Chi first and Mega Evolve it, I use a Dragon Pulse against it, but Gyarados uses an Earthquake. Master Chi is taken out...

I send out Daxter and use an Ice Beam, Gyarados uses Dragon Dance, powering itself up. I use another Ice Beam, hoping to freeze it. It uses another Dragon Dance. Siebold decides he can heal it with a Full Restore, as I hit it with another Ice Beam. It uses Earthquake now, before I get off another Ice Beam. After that attack I switch to ShutUppyPuff. The Gyarados uses Earthquake, but misses ShutUppyPuff. Gyarados starts another Dragon Dance, while ShutUppyPuff uses an Ancient Power and then gets a bonus from a Speed Boost. Siebold heals again. I use another Ancient Power and Speed Boost. Gyarados hits with a strong Ice Fang, taking ShutUppyPuff down...

I send out Amy hoping to be faster, even though Siebold got a few Dragon Dances off... Gyarados uses Ice Fang. Amy goes down...

I send out Big Dipper, hoping to get a Strength off, but Gyarados uses Waterfall and takes him out too...

FrostedFlake comes out next and casts Snow Warning. Gyarados uses another Dragon Dance, just to rub it in. FrostedFlake gets off a Rock Tomb and deals a little more damage with Snow Warning. I try to use another Rock Tomb, but FrostedFlake is taken out by an Ice Fang.

That leaves Daxter.

Daxter doesn't even get to attack... he is take out by an Earthquake...

I black out.

I have killed all of my friends... the least I can do is make a tribute to them...

Elite Four: Malva and Drasna - Part 47

I want to warn everyone, that this is when my Nuzlocke Challenge will become deadly serious.

Mainly because this is the end. There will either be a severe loss or a triumphant victory.

I head into the Blazing Chamber first, because I know that will be the easiest.

Malva introduces herself, and for those of you who didn't know she is the news anchor that shows up on the Holo-Clip once or twice. And our battle then starts.

She first sends out a female Pyroar at level 63 against my Daxter at level 66.

Daxter starts it off with a Power Up Punch, just to strengthen himself a bit. Malva uses Noble Roar totally canceling it out though. I use a Surf and I'm countered by Hyper Voice. Malva uses a Full Restore to heal her Pyroar. I use another Surf, bringing her back to a little less than half HP. I get to use another Surf before she attacks and that is a knock out.

Malva sends out a Talonflame at level 65.

I switch Daxter out with Amy, hoping Amy is faster. Malva is faster and lets out a nasty Brave Bird, it deals maybe a fifth of my HP and damages the Talonflame with recoil damage. I hit it with a Dragon Claw, which brings it into probably single digit HP. Malva uses a Full Restore. I use another Dragon Claw, bringing it back to red. She follows up with a Brave Bird and almost kills herself. I finish it off with a Crunch.

Two down. Two to go.

Malva sends out her third. A Torkoal at level 63.

I keep Amy out.

Torkoal doesn't stand a chance against Amy's Earthquake. Another KO.

Malva sends out her last Pokémon, a Chandelure... (just like Waxworth) at level 63.

Amy doesn't let it even try, he uses an Earthquake again and takes out the Chandelure.

Malva is finished.

I take a few well needed gulps of air, because I was pretty much holding my breath.

I don't relax too long. I heal up with a couple items and head into Dragonmark Chamber.

Drasna is an elite four member that scares me from her personality. I feel like she could kill me at any moment. I still need to fight her though.

She first sends out a Dragalge at level 63 against my Daxter now at level 68.

I get an Ice Beam off first, it doesn't even bring it down halfway. Dragalge does a scary thing next... it uses Thunderbolt, taking me down three quarters. I switch to Amy who is now level 74. It tries to Thunderbolt again, but it doesn't do anything to Amy. Amy lets a massive Dragon Claw off. No more Dragalge.

Drasna throws out an Altaria at level 63.

Amy scratches again with her Dragon Claw, taking it out.

She sends out her third Pokémon, it's a Noivern at level 65.

Amy doesn't want that out for very long. A Dragon Claw is all it takes.

Druddigon is her very last at level 63.

Amy teaches it, what's what, with another Dragon Claw. It gets hit with the only damage for this fight because of Rough Skin, dealing about 20 HP of damage.

Drasna is down.

Malva is down.

That's half of the Elite Four.

I'm feeling good so far.

Calem And I Break Up - Part 46

With my training over I head back over to Victory Road and take a big breath.

At least now the trainers are floating around my levels now.

And I dive in.

I run into Pokémon that I can't catch. Find items that are not useful. Surf on water and push boulders that are just annoying rather than necessary for this part of the game. I even fight a few trainers that give me a run for my money. I use a lot of Hyper Potions and Full Restores. And soon I'm at the end.

But first Calem... which I'm actually feeling nothing towards.

"I've been thinking a lot since Geosenge..."

He wants me back!

Nevermind... he just wants to talk about Lysandre and Shauna and the entire world, but not about us.

That's it. I'm done with this fool.

He asks to fight me one last time. He doesn't really ask that, but I know this will be the last time, no matter how this Nuzlocke Challenge happens. Because we are in the home stretch...

Let's battle.

Calem has been doing some training because he now has five Pokémon instead of his normal amount.

He first sends out his Meowstic, which he has had for a while, and I send out Daxter.

He uses Fake Out, which makes me flinch. I use a Pursuit, and he uses Psychic, it nearly takes me out. So I switch to Amy.

Which probably looks kind of like this...

Meowstic uses another Psychic which barely leaves a mark and Amy follows up with a Crunch.

Meowstic goes down.

Calem sends out a new Pokémon, Altaria

This may look like an elegant bird Pokémon, but it is in fact a Dragon. So I need to take this down, ASAP.

I send out FrostedFlake to meet it and automatically cast Snow Warning, I use an Ice Shard, hoping to take it down quick, but it is still in the red. It uses Confide. And the hail from Snow Warning knocks out Altaria, without having it deal any damage.

Next is Delphox.

This can be a very dangerous Pokémon if left unchecked... Amy takes it out with an Earthquake.

Next is Absol.

This is the Pokémon which took out... Ham n Cheese...

Master Chi goes out and Mega Evolves. A Power-Up Punch is all that it needs to take it down, while also making itself stronger for the next Pokémon.

Calem has a Jolteon as his last.

I don't even play around. Master Chi uses Earthquake and down goes Jolteon.

Calem is defeated.

Calem starts talking about how we're alike and he's happy we're friends and he tries to give me some Max Revives. I take them and immediately drop them. That's what he gets. I head to the end of Victory Road where a couple trainers are waiting.

They go down easy as pie.

I exit Victory Road and I'm at the Pokémon League...

I have a couple of choices. I know my team is pretty much the same level as the Elite Four in here. But should I just dive in? Or should I train?

I walk into the Pokémon League and equip some items to my teammates.

I. AM. READY.
