I'm Still Not Dead, So That's Good - Part 26

After healing from the previous encounter (see my Part 25 to refresh yourself, if needs be) I head to the cafe where Sycamore wanted to be.

And who would you think is waiting there with him?

That orange hair-dyed John Lennon.

Lysandre.

And I'm pretty sure I'm reaching now for people with sideburns like him.

He speaks FOREVER and a half. But I pay attention enough to see that he is of royal decent...

And he hates humanity more or less.

That doesn't scream evil at all. I'm not even being sarcastic. Doesn't everyone hate everyone nowadays?

He gives me a King's Rock for whatever reason and leaves. I run outside and get a Holo-Clip of Trevor.

Why can't people leave me alone?

He tells me to head out to Route 14.

New Route new Pokémon.

And...

CALEM!

Calem is all like, "Hey WhiteBeetch!"

And I'm all like, "Call me whatever you want."

We fight, because isn't that what people do when they are in like like with each other.

I win and he wants to go deeper into Route 14, which I'm all for, but I just want to catch a new Pokémon first.

I run into the grass and...

It's a Carnivine. Great another Grass-type.

A friend already asked for it to have a nickname, so I give it to him.

Meet Schrodinger the Carnivine.

I think they look like twinsies.

You know what would be a good idea? Come on give me a guess. If you guessed that I'm gunna train. You were right!

And a good place to train is the next restaurant after Le Nah. I'm off to train at Le Yeah.

But instead of boring you all, with the three times I will train in here in a row, I will give you a rundown of the first two. Why the first two? Well because something happens during those.

Each time I go back into the restaurant it is always the same food and trainers, which is good for me because then I can come to know what is coming.

So I run in and fight, fight, fight.

And everything is leveling nicely, especially since they get healed automatically after each battle and because in this restaurant it is either triple or rotation battles.

(I choose triple, as I find them easier to manage.)

The first time goes well enough. I even make three times the money I spent here. Which was 15,000 Pokédollars just to get in! That's a lot of...

Do I even have to say the punch-line?

But on the second run through here... something miraculous happened.

Someone is evolving!

I got a Reuniclus!

And with that I think that's a good way to end the day! My first fully evolved Pokémon!

Clemont and his Shocking Brigade - Part 25

Lumoise City Gym is something like a blast from the generation one past.

In this gym you answer questions and the more questions you get right, means the less amount of trainers you would have to fight, but I don't want that so I will answer everything wrong.

There are a ton of trainers in here if you do it that way. There is a total of twelve in here, which means some of my Pokémon need to be healed so after the first six, to be safe I run to the Poké-Center where I heal. And as I am playing this I'm watching Penny Dreadful, which I like a lot.

And I'm not paying attention... I probably talk to Nurse Joy seven times or so.

I head back into the gym and fight the rest of the trainers... well, all but one, because again... I wasn't paying attention and I accidentally answered a question correctly, making me lose a trainer to fight, but that's okay it is time to fight, Clemont, while his little sister Bonnie watches.

Cool backpack arms, nerd.

Clemont is an Electric-type leader, so Amy should do fairly well here!

He sends out an Emolga to go against Amy.

Great, I can't hit it with Dig, but at least I should be able to take it down...

It uses Arial Ace and I use a Dragon Claw. Static hits Amy right off the bat, Paralyzing me. Arial Ace again, but I can't do anything, I'm fully paralyzed. Another Arial Ace, and I throw another Dragon Claw its way. We are both in the red now. That's not good.

I like Amy too much to risk a free hit, so I switch Amy out with Master Chi, where Clemont uses a Hyper Potion to heal Emolga.

I Mega-Evolve Master Chi and without thinking I use Bone Rush.

It does nothing, like it is supposed to do to a Flying-type. Emolga uses Volt Switch, a nice little move, and Magneton takes its place.

Master Chi starts the end of the gym fight with a Power-Up Punch. This move is great. It may have low power, but it increases your Attack, which means it deals more anyways, and can set up stronger hits with other moves in your arsenal.

It uses Electric Terrain, which to be honest, I have never seen. So I look it up and realize that it is pretty okay. It prevent sleeping and powers up grounded Electric-type Pokémon's moves. Next turn, Clemont uses another Hyper Potion. I use a Power-Up Punch, but Magneton's Sturdy saves it for the time being. I hit it with another Power-Up Punch and that's all she wrote.

Clemont sends out Heliolisk.

I think this Pokémon is an example of cool and dumb, mostly in the way of looks. I still feel like I don't know which way to go with it.

But it is a gym battle. Master Chi uses Power-Up Punch and takes it out, which only leaves Emolga.

I barely let it out of the Pokéball, before I annihilate it with a Poison Jab.

Got me a Voltage badge!

And he gives me a super useful TM! Thunderbolt.

I head out of the gym to heal, when I get a Holo-Clip. It's Professor Sycamore, asking me to meet him at a cafe. Too bad I care more about my team than him, so I run to go heal.

My Team:
Ham n Cheese (Swalot) level 42 - Route 5
ShutUppyPuff (Yanmega) level 34 - Route 10
Urologist (Duosion) level 36 - Reflecting Cave

More Like Team Scare...d of Me - Part 24

I head straight to the Power Plant, where Team Flare is waiting to get cremated.

The first member meets me.

"Knock, knock. Who's there? Knock, knock, knock. Who me? Who you? ... Seriously, though. Who are you?"

I don't even know.

I beat her and head on. I fight another and because I'm still training Amy, I feel like I need to heal, but the Poké-Center is so far away!

But there is a guy selling Fresh Water here, so I could use him...

$300 Pokédollars!?!

So I fight all the Team Flare members and reach some Virtual Boy wearing chick...

...and a bald man.

The bald man is nothing, but a Team Flare Admin. So something along the lines of an Assistant Manager of Team Flare. But the Virtual Boy girl. She is something more.

Aliana is the cream of the crop, of Team Flare... apparently.

She was the easiest fight in here.

Power is now back on in Lumiose City! Hooray!

But two masked people who look like Viewtiful Joe...

...Approach me. I'm pretty sure that it's just Sina and Dexio.

 (**spoiler** it is!)

I head out of the desert where there are only Dugtrio, Gible and Trapinch and whatinthesamhillisthat?!

The humongous hobo says something about a Pokémon that has eternal life and shambles off just before...

"WhiteBeetch!"

She takes me to Prisim Tower in Lumiose City (which is where I would be going anyways...) to watch it light up.

I do have to say that this tower looks like a mixture between the Eiffel Tower...

... and the Tokyo Tower.

But I suppose the cool thing about Prisim Tower is that it is also the next gym.

I'll be heading in there in the next exciting installment of my Nuzlocke Challenge.

Ramos and His Mighty Scissors - Part 23

I'm not even going to tease an opening for this post, let's jump right into it.

Ramos has three Pokémon. He starts it out by sending out Jumpluff.

I'm training Amy, so he goes out first, but I immediately send out my ace in the hole for this gym. Ham n Cheese. Jumpluff Leech Seeds Ham, little does he know that, that move will do more damage to him than it will to me due to my Liquid Ooze ability (for those of you who don't know what I mean by that, is it means that if any Pokémon uses a HP draining move on him, it actually damages them instead of healing them). Jumpluff then uses Acrobatics and I hit it for a powerful Acid Spray. The Leech Seed and Liquid Ooze combo then kills it.

One down two to go.

Ramos' next Pokémon is a Gogoat.

This is the Pokémon of Ramos I fear most.

I send out Amy first and then bring him back for Ham n Cheese. Gogoat then hits me for a surprise. It knows Bulldoze, which Ham n Cheese is weak against. After the Jumpluff and this hit Ham n Cheese is at 46 HP (out of 133), which is not good. I switch out Ham n Cheese and throw Gogoat into the clutches of Urologist.

Gogoat uses a Grass Knot, which deals almost nothing to Urologist and then follows up with a Take Down, before I let lose a Psyshock. I have to switch out Urologist for ShutUppyPuff. Gogoat uses Take Down again. ShutUppyPuff lets lose a powerful Uproar, but it doesn't kill the Gogoat. I leave that for Ramos. He uses another Take Down, which critical hits me and takes out his own Pokémon.

That was the second, only one left.

He sends out a Weepingbell.

I'm not to worried about this one.

Amy will stay out for a little bit this time. I use Dragon Claw first while Ramos uses a Poison Powder. I get nervous about getting hit with a strong Razor Leaf, so I switch to Ham n Cheese, where it uses Acid and I follow up with a Body Slam, taking it down for good.

Plant Badge get!

Ramos is talking to me about something, probably not too important when I realize something. Does he have a walking stick that are scissors?

As happy as he looks, those massive scissors make me nervous...

I head back to the Poké-Center because that Gogoat did some damage to my team. After healing I start heading back out to Route 13, but I get stopped because my Holo-Clip starts to go off.

It's Lysandre, that red-headed Jemaine Clement sans glasses. And with less singing talent.

Straight after I run into Sina and Dexio who start off the conversation "How dare you keep us waiting!"

Does everyone in this game want to get messed up?

I head onto Route 13 and over to the Power Plant (and sorry... for those of you who do not know, Zapdos isn't there....

... too bad so sad)

I fight the Team Flare guy with the Pokémon I want, but now he has Houndoom and Golbat, all he needs is a Crobat and he has some of my favorites.

I fight him and he drops his key card. This sounds familiar.

After forcefully taking the Key Card from a rock, I have no idea why it was there in the first place, I head into the Power Plant.
