Well maybe if I could use them to bring my team mates back to life, it wouldn't be so bad!
I fight the first trainer and then...
It's the Hawlucha trainer that dominated my first team.
Ham n Cheese dominates the Hawlucha. Without even breaking a sweat.
I'm happy that he avenged his fallen brothers and sisters, but I can't let my guard down.
Tierno shows up and throws TM Flash my way. Stupid move. And he tells me fewer Pokémon will show up if I use it.
That's not gunna happen, I need to train hardcore.
Because I didn't use Flash, and I trained against wild 'mons Urologist decides that it is time to evolve! Good! He needed it!
Hello, Duosion. Glad to have a strengthy Special Attacker. Especially with Hidden Power Water and Psychic moves. He should be good.
Not even more than fifteen minutes later of training in this cave... and ShutUppyPuff learns Ancient Power and as well all know when a Yanma learns Ancient Power, it evolves!
Yanmega! He is pretty boss looking. I really want a couple TMs for him, like Arial Ace, that could help a lot. But for now he has to rely on Uproar and Thief.
I keep running into Wobbuffet.
And they are scary. If I use the wrong move on it, it could kill me in a single hit. I have to take them down slowly. And I also cannot switch Pokémon out so I don't die. Stupid Shadow Tag ability.
I finally make my way out of Reflecting Cave and into Shalour City. This means a new area for new Pokémon! There is a big place to fish, but I know if I do with the Old Rod, I'll probably get another Hallmark and I don't want that. But also I can get Lucario later with a MegaStone. And that could be super helpful.
I heal up in the Poké-Center and see someone standing in a corner not moving, so I go up to him and... oh no... Mr. Bonding!
I just can't seem to stay away... I must be suffering from Stockholm Syndrome.
I don't want to go to the MegaStone guru yet, as per the storyline requests, so I head over to Route 12. New route!
I head into the grass right away... and...
It is an Exeggcute. I'm not sure how I feel about this, as it just seems to be another Psychic and Grass type. I seem to be getting a lot of those in this playthrough.
A friend recommended the next name to be 'HeebieJeebies' and that is what they are called now.
I also have found a Leaf Stone to evolve them, which I won't do until they are 27, because that is when they will learn Confusion, which would be nice to have.
I head to the MegaStone guru now and... holy eyebrows!
Those seriously look like they should be a handle-bar mustache, but the animator accidentally sneezed and drew them above the eyes. They remind me of the sword training guy from Okami. Who would change the position of his moustache and eyebrows on the fly.
Speaking of flying...
I bet the MegaStone guru could...
He tells us about Mega Evolution which sounds more or less like Digi-volving.
And tells us anyone can do it!
Yay!
But only certain Pokémon can do it.
And it requires a ring. Which he only has one of to give to us.
To get it, I have to beat my future husband Calem.
I take out his first two Pokémon with ease, but Braxiem... I have a mental brain fart and totally forgot that it is not just Fire. I forgot that it is also Psychic.
I send out Kidney Stones and...
He died of a mental lapse. I'm sorry... I barely even used you...
With its Sand Stream ability however, it does kill the Braxiem in spirit.
But I don't have the MegaStone Ring yet.
I need to do one last thing first...
Beat the Gym Leader.
