It is a place like no other. A place where there is an aquarium AND a place to bring fossils back to life.
If I could bring a fossil back to life I hope it would be a lot like Wexter from Axe Cop.
Wexter is BA. He has machine gun arms. He can fly. If a bad guy sits on him, spikes come out of skin and kills them. He can breathe fire. And best of all are his sunglasses.
Which means whatever the first fossil I receive must be the Pokémon I take for this brand new area. And that is completely okay with me, since fossils are usually fairly strong.
I explore the town and head into the hotel.
"Hello, there friend..."
oh no...
Not Mr. Bonding!
I receive a new O-Power and he is gone again.
After scurrying to a Pokémon Center, more for myself rather than my party. I head into the aquarium to explore the bottom portion of Route 8. In here there are no fish that I can see and it's small and stupid and I don't like it...
But a person gives me an Old Rod! And that means Magikarp! YAY!
I explore Route 8 a bit and run into a Sky Battle. Rosco is still one of my strongest so I say, why not.
The trainer sends out a level 28 Mantyke...
Uh oh... that's not good. Rosco is only 22 at this point. That's a 6 level difference. And the trainer still has one more Pokémon, and I can only use Rosco. I hope this battle turns out for the best...
Rosco is hit first and is confused. He hits himself. And is immediately killed next hit.
No... Rosco!
I can't... he was so good to me! He even had a Dragon-move and he was one of my quickest Pokémon. He was also the very first Pokémon, I ever caught. He saved me through so many battles and steered the way through the first gym.
Goodnight, sweet prince...
Now that I lost my first captured party member and lost a good chunk of play time, just because I trained it for a while early on. I try to continue without it hurting too much.
I head towards Route 9 where a lot of people are talking about my mother, Grace.
I don't like how so many people know about her.
When I reach Route 9, I get to ride on a Rhyhorn...
If I wasn't so distraught about losing Rosco, I would be thrilled. As I really like these guys.
After riding on it for a little while I run into my first wild Pokémon.
It's a Hippopotas. I've never actually used one of these guys before either, much like Babe, who we just caught. It's a new Pokémon, so that means I get to name the newbie.
And since I just lost a Pokémon and I just got out of the hospital (in real life, don't worry everything was okay), I name it after the reason why I went into the ER in the first place.
Kidney Stone.
This makes me feel better and I think it is a splendid nickname.
I may have even cracked a smile.
Right after Route 9, there is another new area to catch Pokémon! The Glittering Cave!
I know there are tons of Pokémon in here that I can use, so let's see what the first one I run into is - -
The classic Onix. I can live with him. I personally would've liked something else, but at least I am familiar with this Pokémon.
I ask a friend to name it and for some reason he wants the name 'Victini', and for those of you who don't know that is a name for another Pokémon.
Welcome Victini the Onix!
I head deeper into the cave and finally come across the Team Rocket of the game.
Team Flare. And the first guy challenges me to a fight.
The guy's hair-do looks like he has a turd on his head...
He sends out a Zubat and a Houndour.
Houndour and its evolution Houndoom...
...Are some of my all-time favorite Pokémon. And I'm jealous of this guy.
I beat him up. And a few other Team Flare members and come across...
CALEM!
We fight. And we win. And we have a good time.
All is well in the world.
AND the scientist lets us take a fossil. I have a choice between the Jaw or Sail. We all now the drill.
Heads Jaw. Tails Sail.
I'll give you all a picture clue.
If you don't understand the clue, it was heads.
I run back to Ambrette Town and get the fossil recreated and BAM.
I got me a Tyrunt. None of my friends are available again. I really need to have a list of nicknames for new Pokémon, just in case this happens a lot. So I name it the first name that pops into my head.
And I believe since it is so close to the word tyrant and that the finale for Season 4 of Game of Thrones is tonight... He gets the name Joffrey.
And with such a day of highs and lows comes to an end, so does this part of the Nuzlocke Challenge.
