I Shouldn't Play The Lotto - Part 41

With a brand spanking new Triniy (supposed to be Trinity, but I hit enter too fast)...

...which I need to evolve and fix it's name.

So that's what I do. I call up my real-life friend, who named this newest addition to my team.

I trade with him and WHAM BAM THANK YOU MA'AM, I got me a...

Conkeldurr.

I'm excited for this guy, he has tons of Attack and should be a good Fighting-type would be a nice  Pokémon for me to use.

It's time to start training it, but only after I meet up with Sycamore.

He first apologizes for Lysandre for being a big old meany poopy head.

And after saying 'Sorry' he decides that he wants to fight me. I guess that's okay. I need some training anyways.

He has three Pokémon, and I'm pretty sure I know what they are.

Venusaur, Blastoise, and Charizard.

I beat them all fairly easily, probably because none of them Mega-Evolved, if one did I probably would have struggled. And on top of that Trini(t)y got some needed experience!

Sycamore then tells me that he hid something inside the town, so I go and try to find it really quick, but after struggling to find it I remember it's nothing important.

I think it's some note to his future self.

I meet up with Mr. Bonding before leaving, and you know what? He's actually a really nice guy. At least he's more loyal to me than Calem ever was.

I head over to Route 19 to train Trini(t)y a little more, it's at level 47 right now and I want it closer to 55.

I run into the first trainer. It has two Pumpkaboos. The first goes down with two Poison Jabs from Trini(t)y and the second... oh... that second.

I will admit that I put way too much faith in my newest member...

The Pumpkaboo casts Trick or Treat, which adds Ghost-Type to Trini(t)y's typing. And I hit it with a Poison Jab, which takes it halfway down. Then the Pumpkaboo uses Shadow Ball and crits me to death.

That was a very short run. I was hoping to use this Pokémon all the way to the end.

I'm sorry I trusted you, Trini(t)y.

I head off to bury Trini(t)y and then back onto Route 19, where I go look for my next Pokémon. There isn't much here that I actually want so I just head into the grass, and hope for something that isn't a Grass-type.

Great, I get a Karrablast.

This one kind of is hard to explain as to why it was a bad first Pokémon. It does evolve. But I need to trade it. With another specific Pokémon. And then they both evolve. It's stupid and gimmicky. And without evolving Karrablast, it actually sucks. Hardcore.

So I think I have to say that I cannot evolve this one, without having the other. So I'll have to hope I run into one in another Route. And since we are almost in the end game, I don't think that is going to happen. So I am stuck with a Karrablast.

Oh by the way. The Karrablast's name is Popsicle.

I No Longer Get Sad - Part 40

Calem has left me for Shauna. I'm all alone. This is the worst moment of my Nuzlocke Challenge.

Well... I guess it's good that I defeated Team Flare and Lysandre. And that I destroyed the weapon that would have destroyed us all.

I make me way out of Geosenge Town, making sure to not fall into the giant pit of despair that has appeared... that's an actual pit. Not the one in my heart.

I take HeebieJeebie to replace the other hole, which is Epo shaped, and realize I have to run to the next area. So I start to make my way back.

But as I do, I realize I should train HeebieJeebie, so when we get to Lumiose City I hitch a ride in a taxi to Restaurant Le Yeah, and start to fight. I get through two battles and Heebie Jeebie is now at the same level as the Pokémon in the restaurant.

In the third battle there are three Zangoose.

Amy and Waxworth chew them out, but the remaining Zangoose has a move I didn't want to see. It's an X-Scissor. And it hits HeebieJeebie with a critical hit.

HeebieJeebie goes down without a sound...

I finish the rest of the battles by switching HeebieJeebie out with ShutUppyPuff.

When the dinner is over I bury my coconut tree.

I stumble back to the PC and take out the second to last Pokémon.

Hallmark 2. This thing hasn't even been trained yet. So I head back to the restaurant to give it a little loving. A Water-type would be nice about now.

During the first fight I have Amy and Waxworth tear apart the Pokémon in front of Hallmark 2, so it can't get hit, but it doesn't mater, because apparently the Pokémon furthest away can still poke at it. Hallmark 2 goes down in one hit.

I never liked the Hallmarks, but at this point in the game I need everything I can get... there aren't too many other places to snag new teammates...

But at least Hallmark 2 grew three levels before dying (that's more than Hallmark).

Which means... Bulbasaur comes back. No, not that Bulbasaur. It's Bulbasaur the Quilladin.

I only have six Pokémon so he comes back.

And I've learned from my mistakes. No more restaurant training for weaker Pokémon.

It's a long way to get to where I need to go next, so I start trekking my way over there. After maybe fifteen minutes, I am finally only a town over from the next one, I get a Holo-Clip from Sycamore saying he wants to meet me in Couriway Town.

First however I have to go through Route 18, which is a new route!

And I hope for anything that isn't Grass.

From the shaggy, green depths of the grass comes a....

It's a Gurdurr.

A friend of mine has actually already requested names for the next five, and this one gets the first.

Trinity the male Gurdurr.

Except I type too fast and I get Triniy the Gurdurr. I'll have to fix that later.

My Team:
Trini(t)y (Gurdurr) level 44 - Route 18
ShutUppyPuff (Yanmega) level 52 - Route 10
Master Chi (Lucario) level 55 - Mastery Tower

Sharing with Friend(zone)s - Part 39

Before I start anything I just want to mention that the lovelies behind Pokémon have announced a new game. It will be called Pokken Tournament. It will be a fighting game that is in the same vein as Tekken and Soul Calibur, mainly because it is made by the people who made them. As of now only Lucario and Machamp are announced fighters, but Blaziken might have been leaked as well.

It's exciting to see them branching out into a game people have wanted for a long time.

It isn't exciting that it is only coming out for Japanese arcades at the moment... and that I believe that it will be a Tekken VS Pokémon game, so there will be more than Pokémon in it...

Here's the trailer.

- - - - - - - - - -

So me and my bo...

That's Calem to the rest of you!

Decide to jump into a giant elevator.

And as we get out there lies Lysandre, who has this giant speech about overpopulation, corruption and... sharing?

Lysandre starts to cry. He is upset that he is going to kill all the Pokémon and that he wished there was another way to spare them, but he sees no other way.

This guy isn't just bad. He's insane. This is different than other bad dudes in the Pokémon franchise. And before the others didn't want to kill Pokémon or even humans. They were just greedy. So this guy is more or less just trying to be the justice that Kalos wants.

(I think that is THE one, folks)

Lysandre decides that we need to fight again. I figure that's okay since it hasn't even been that long since we last fought. I send out Epo and he sends out a newly evolved Mienshao...

I like this Pokémon it's all Attack and Speed, and straight up Fighting-type, no nonsense --

It uses High Jump Kick and takes out Epo in a single hit.

No! I just... I just started to accept him fully into the team! He was becoming a staple!

I send out Amy and he takes out the rest of the team single-handedly. Even the newly evolved Honchkrow.

But that doesn't ignore the fact that Epo is dead...

Other than my new devestating loss... I'm having an okay time with Calem, until...

"WhiteBeetch! Calem!"

Calem then asks if we should go with her. And I'm given a choice to choose between yes and no. I say NO.

Then somehow Calem twists my words to allow her to come with us...

Wait... does that mean he likes her?

I can't let any seeds of doubt into my mind at this point.

Somehow after a few more times of talking to Shauna and Calem, we wind up in front of a tree. Which is hooked up to a giant machine, but it turns out that it was actually Xerneas.

Since I state in my rules that I won't use any legendaries, I feel there is no reason to catch it. So I beat it.

And it's still standing in front of me. So I leave. But nothing happens. I go back into the room and it's there...

I beat it again.

And again.

So I guess I have to catch it?

So I do, in a lovely Premier Ball.

After catching it it asks to go into my party. I take out Epo... (as I quietly sniff back tears) and Lysandre comes into the room. Pissed. Off.

He is now fully mechanized with Doctor Octopus type arms.

He calls Xerneas weak for teaming up with me and then demands a fight. Which is what I give him.

Xerneas goes out first and I make sure it dies on purpose. Which it does.

And I take out the rest of the team with Amy and then...

He Mega Evolves his Gyarados...

His new Dark/Water Pokémon should prove to be a challenge and --

Amy takes it down in a single hit.

Lysandre is defeated. But he is too far gone. He tries to activate the machine without the power source (Xerneas), and the whole lab collapses on him.

Calem, Shauna and I escape and Calem takes me to the side and says...

... that he respects me as a friend.

Wrong Turn: Pokemon Edition - Part 38

I step off into the third floor of the basement and Lysandre and some... man? I think that's a man... Stop me.

To be honest I don't even know what to compare him to... so I'll try... he's a rubber suit wearing, Micheal Jackson glove posing, vampire skin flashing, John Goodman sized, awful haircut donning, blu-tooth using... guy.

That's the best I got... sorry.

I feel like I don't even need to say I fight him.

After winning I notice that there are two enormous buttons behind Xerosic (which I have no I idea why they gave him such a convoluted name, but ehhhh whateves), one of them is red and one is blue...

In my first playthrough I chose red, so this time I decide on blue.

Apparently if I choose the right button, it won't activate the weapon. So here goes nothing.

I win! I pressed the right button!

Wait... Xerosic, rhymes with the nickname for a man called Richard (that's Dick for those of you who don't know), and he activates the machine anyways.

It goes through a cut scene as this giant crystal flower erupts out of the ground in Geosenge Town, and destroys probably a good 80% of the town just by being activated. Houses are thrown about and the stones that made it look like Stonehenge...

Are gone and all that there is left is 'the weapon'.

I leave the lab to go to Geosenge. I feel like if I don't save the world, I'll die and so will my Pokémon, which means I would lose the Nuzlocke Challenge.

And since I don't have any Pokémon that can Fly... I have to walk...

I pass the Battle Chateau and say to myself...

"I could train."

So i train a little bit, Epo grows a few more levels and now everyone on my team is over 50.

I'm so happy.

I head up from Cyllage, and it's probably taken me about... a real-world fifteen minutes to get here (without including the training). And the entrance to Geosenge is blocked.

I actually didn't know this. And it aggravates me just a tad.

So I head around through everything again, and then up and around... long story short is that I pretty much circumnavigate the entire region.

I head over to the area, where I know they are located and there are some Team Flare members blocking the entrance.

"WhiteMistake... you're not in this alone."

Could it be?

Hey there Calem...
