... Epo evolved into Poliwrath. A completely solid Water/Fighting type that I hope will strengthen the my team enough to finish the challenge.
Continuing I may have subconsciously realized where I have to go, because I head straight for Lysandre Cafe, where there a few waiters... waiting.
I fight the first one and win, super easily, and the waiter says something along the lines of...
"Oh no, she'll find out that the password is 'open sesame'."
I head over to the other waiter, and again completely SERVE them.
*scoffs at pun*
And they follow up with another stupid thing to say...
"Oh no, she'll find the secret entrance!"
I then check the shelf behind her and find a secret entrance to a secret lab, that would have stayed a secret if the secret Team Flare member (dressed as a waiter) didn't spoil the secret.
While heading down into the lab I get a sinking feeling that I'm about to meet someone that I don't really want to meet and...
It's Lysandre.
And to be honest I don't think I have anymore real-life people to compare him to so I'll just say he looks a lot like one of his personal Pokémon, Pyroar...
And I only know that he has a Pyroar because he challenges me to a fight. Where I not only beat this, but a Mienfoo as well!
If only all of his Pokémon were this easy then I wouldn't have to worry about --
Uh oh. I forgot about this one.
Lysandre has something fairly strong, and for some reason the levels of the NPC Pokémon have gone up quickly, as most of my Pokémon seem to be about the same level now...
Lysandre sends out...
A scary Gyarados...
I send out FrostedFlake to do some damage, but his Gyarados hits me with a heavy Outrage. I recall FrostedFlake and send out Master Chi, who also takes a brutal hit. That's two it almost killed. Amy will probably die in a single Outrage and Waxworth won't last. Epo I was training and he's too weak so that leaves...
I send out Babe, who was about to start training.
Babe lives through one turn where Gyarados is confused and hits itself, but on the second turn (after Babe gets off a wimpy Psywave) Gyarados tears Babe apart with Outrage.
Not worried about having the Gyarados do a free hit on me I send out Amy, who Dragon Claws it. And then Dragon Claws through his next Pokémon, Murkrow.
Lysandre takes losing like a champ and tells me that a minion of his will give me the key to go deeper into the lab. But first I need to run to a Center and heal up.
As I'm heading back I realize that my Pokémon team is starting to dwindle again. I don't have much left. This could be the End of Days.
I bury Babe, and feel sorry for not feeling more, but this challenge is starting to harden my heart. I don't feel much for many of them anymore, since I know they will die eventually.
After placing the grave marker on Babe's grave, I realize I need to train more.
So that's what I do.
I train them so hard that they... that they... grow levels!

I head back to the labs to do some work through that silly Team Flare.
