It's Story-time, Kids - Part 37

I'm going to try and not bore my faithful readers during this part. It is extremely story heavy, and it is me more or less just super briefly shortening down something that took close to an hour into a fifteen minute read.

I head back into the labs and the first person I run into (other than weak little Flare grunts), is the orange haired Aliana. 

She goes down without much of a fight. I run a little further into their maze of a laboratory, and find Sina and Dexio as their superhero selves. And they are looking for Az. I'm surprised that... well you know... they aren't here to stop Lysandre in destroying the world. Like a normal person would be doing. 

They give me some revives... which is an item I can't even use during this playthrough, so... yeah thanks for that chums. 

I do however find beds, which should be useful (when in fact they are not because I never even use them).

Further on into the depths of the Flare dwelling, i run into Celosia (Purple hair) and Bryony (Green hair).

And when I talk to them they have this conversation.

"Huh?"

"Huh."

"Huh?"

"Huh."

That was the conversation that they had. 

So I go and fight them.

And after I beat them they give away a bunch of story elements. 

They talk about how and why they stole the electricity early in the game (back when I caught Amy). They talk about Geosenge Town and how the rocks that are all over are graves of Pokémon. That in that town they found the ultimate weapon, which is what they are going to use to destroy everything that is not Team Flare. And that it is 3,000 years old. Blah blah blah. 

After barely surviving through listening to them I stumble deeper into the Team's Lair and run into the blue haired Mable. 

I beat her even faster than her three sister trainers (I don't even know if they are sisters, but I'll assume they are), but she does take Amy to 5 HP in this battle, which probably shaved about twelve years off of my life. 

And she is nice and just straight up gives me the key to get further into the lab. 

So I head on down. 

There is only one floor to choose from. So I hit the button for B2, and head on down. 

I run into Lysandre and see that he has imprisoned Az, behind plasma beams. And Az starts to talk. And talk. And talk.

He tells me a story, full on with a cut scene, 'fully animated' (by that I mean it was like a story book, but I digress), about what has been considered the fabled Pokémon Wars, by fans for a while, but not considered to just be the Pokémon Wars now. Where 3,000 years ago there was a giant war between men that used Pokémon to do their bidding. There was also a movie vaguely based off this war. 

As he tells us this story, he tells us of a man who participated in the war and his Pokémon dies. And he is so sad by the death, that he makes a machine that can bring it back to life. And in turn that machine is also a weapon that can stop the war, but it will destroy almost everything and the man uses it. His Pokémon is disgusted that he used the weapon for destruction rather than good and it leaves him. And the man and the Pokémon who are both immortal just roam the world. 

Lysandre tells me that he stole a key from Az to power the machine and that he wants me to meet him in his office in this lab. So that's where I go. I find out that there was a button I missed for B3 and I head further down into the abyss.
