I have spent the last several hours of my life, making my body ready, for this moment.
Not just my body.
The body of my team.
They are ready.
We are ready.
Grant! You and your crusty, yet sweet and tasty, looking hair are going to go down!
Go, Skeeter!
Grant sends out his Amaura.
It's only Ice/Rock so I bet my Skeeter can handle this.
I hit it with a hard Razor Leaf and it paralyzes me with a Thunder Wave.
I'm still at full health, I can do this.
Grant's Amaura let's lose a Take Down, which nearly kills me in one hit.
This isn't good...
As long as I'm not fully paralyzed...
Skeeter lets another Razor Leaf fly!
Amaura is down for the count.
Grant calls it back and sends out his own personal Tyrunt. I have one of those, I named it Joffrey!
I hope I school it like his Uncle Tyrion does...
I call back Skeeter, as he won't last a single hit now, and send out Squints.
I try to Yawn Grant's Tyrunt, but he Bites me and makes me flinch. It takes me down 1/4 HP. That was a hefty hit. It's a good thing Squints can take another.
I try to Yawn again, but yet again it is a Bite and a flinch, from Tyrunt, with a little dash of critical hit.
It almost kills Squints and I can't breathe...
I recall Squints immediately and send out a back-up plan I don't like to use. It is cheap, but necessary.
Go, WenchWench!
WenchWench I have been saving for something more than an HM Whore. It has a special move that can help me in dire situations.
Mud Slap. It lowers the accuracy, and adds a little more luck (my way) for this battle. Think of it as my lucky charm.
Tyrunt Bites first when it is first switched in. I'm still okay. Tyrunt Rock Tombs. WenchWench Mud Slaps. WenchWench can get off another, as long as I am not critical hit...
Tyrunt Bites...
WenchWench barely lives...
...to get off another Mud Slap.
Get out of there, WenchWench!
Finish it off, my highest level, Ham n Cheese!
Grant must think he can take out my Ham n Cheese, but little does he know you can't do that without mustard.
Tyrunt Stomps and deals 13 HP of damage, bringing Ham n Cheese down to 80 HP.
I can breathe a bit.
Tyrunt lets out a Bite, while Ham n Cheese gets off a Yawn.
It gets another Bite off before it falls asleep.
I taught Ham n Cheese Infestation a while ago, just for another move type to have, and it starts chewing away at Tyrunt.
Ham n Cheese uses its strongest move Sludge, and brings Tyrunt down to red.
Grant heals with a Hyper Potion, but we know it is over.
Two more Sludges and Tyrunt isn't even conscious when it croaks.
Cliff Badge, get!
And I also score the Rock Tomb TM, which having a Rock-move on someone will help me out a lot.
After beating him I realize there is a waterfall in the gym...
Who would spend the time to put that in there?
Too bad, don't care.
I head out of the gym, save, heal, save, save and quit.
Because you can never be too careful.
