And better yet as I was writing this all three Mass Effect games were on-sale for a low rate of $15 bucks on PSN for all three! And I've only played the first! So those are downloading in the background as I play.
Shauna runs ahead and tells me, "I'm going to spend some time getting to know my Li'l Froakie!"
But then she immediately says after, "What are you gunna do, WhiteBeetch?"
She doesn't respond back to me as I go fight a trainer on Route 3.
It's a cute and cuddly little kid with a Charizard doll in his backpack. I bet I can wipe the floor with this kid.
"Mommy told me I should battle anyone who greets me."
Wait, hold up. This kid's mom not only tells him to talk to strangers, but to fight him? AND he has better grammar than I do? I'm surprised this kid doesn't have a line of white vans following him wherever he goes.
I fight him and win easily, probably making him cry (which those white van drivers probably like) and head towards the grass to catch another Pokémon!
I run into the grass and...
This isn't the greatest Pokémon, but I suppose I can use it more as an HM Whore for later in the game, plus some Ground-moves like Dig will come in handy. So yeah. I can jive with Bunnelby.
I text another friend to name (my third female Pokémon).
The response.
"WenchWench"
So we now have WenchWench the Bunnelby with the ability Cheek Pouch.
I start training WenchWench a little bit and as I am, a chick on roller skates (in-game mind you, I'm to nerdy to be outside playing this game in public) almost runs me over. She must think she is in the movie "Whip It".
I completely forgot about the skates! I want them back.
So I train a bit more and head into Santalune City. I heal. I explore and find someone who wants my Bunnelby for a Farfetch'd. Which would help me out a lot, but I have to turn it down.
And before heading to the gym, I want to get some more Pokémon.
So I head left out of the City into Route 22.
New Route. New Pokémon.
But to get to some grass I need to fight a trainer.
Her first Pokémon goes down and she sends out Litleo.
That's right! Litleo are here. Having a fire-type this early could help tremendously.
So I start fighting her with my WenchWench and whoa...
One ember, not even a critcal hit takes away 3/4s of WenchWench's HP.
That's not good...
So I can't send out Bulbasaur for this, so let's send out Rosco, he's pretty strong. Rosco gets off a Gust before the enemy Litleo Embers me, with a critical hit... which burns. Rosco is down in the red in one hit.
I'm scared I may lose my first Pokémon.
Neggs is up. And paralyzes and takes him down without taking a scratch. I guess committing the Pikachu Holocaust paid off.
I run. I don't walk. I sprint to the Poké Center and heal up. It's time to catch a new Pokémon on Route 22.
Let's catch a Litleo!
Into the grass I go!
That's not what I said. I said Litleo!
Can I pretend that this isn't the first one I run into on Route 22?
So my newest member of my team is a level 7 Dunsparce with the ability Run Away...
Great...
I ask a friend of mine to name it and the answer was...
"Ront"
My Team:
Ront (Dunsparce) level 7 - Route 22
WenchWench (Bunnelby) level 8 - Route 3
Neggs (Pikachu) level 10 - Santalune Forest
Rosco (Pidgey) level 11 - Route 2
Bulbasaur (Chespin) level 11 - Aquacorde Town
