Revenge: Sycamore - Part 7

Sometimes... I feel really bad fighting some of the NPCs in this game.

I mean look at this face.

So I come across a preschooler, and he tells me that he just traded for his newest Pokémon...

This is his only Pokémon at level 9...

It's a simple battle, as one could expect, because a Magikarp at that low of a level can only use the move Splash. For those of you looking at this Pokémon and thinking it looks dumb I'll show you what it looks like when it evolves. 

Not so dumb now is it? Even its Pokédex entries say that this thing is capable of destroying cities. So that preschooler I just schooled will probably destroy his small town with a super powerful water dragon. I create monsters in this game...

Anyways! I run into Sina and Dexio, who are helpers of Professor Sycamore, who is the character who gave me Bulbasaur. But one of the first things they ask me is very private.

They ask how WenchWench and I are doing. I for one would like to know how they know I have a Bunnelby, let alone know its name is WenchWench. I find it creepy. So I immediately do not trust these guys.

They tell me to follow them to Sycamore's Lab.

Which brings me to Lumiose City.

A new area means I can get a new Pokémon! And I know exactly where to get this Pokémon.

Before I run to get my newest member of my team I go and heal. WenchWench has been struggling as of late not being able to do lots of damage, so it takes a lot of hits before it wins a battle.

And BAM the camera suddenly zooms in on Nurse Joy. I completely forgot that you could do that if you time talking with her and pressing a direction on the D-Pad (I believe it's when you press Up), that the camera will zoom in.

I felt a little bit like Brock at that moment...

I'm healed up and ready to meet Sycamore!

I run over to the lab and snag the TM False Swipe first, as that may come in handy later in the game since I'll be grinding a lot more then usual. And finally meet Sycamore.

And he immediately starts talking in French to me. So I have no idea what he is saying. I bet he's probably saying that I'm great and my team is doing splendidly so far in my Nuzlocke challenge.

"Hi, Professor! It's Shauna!"

...or maybe he was warning me, but why would he do that in French... I can't trust anyone in this game...

So Sycamore must notice my anger and asks me to battle him. Of course I will. He threw me under the bus and didn't warn me about her. So you know what that means...

He throws out the original 151 starters (lucky bum, Charizard is my all-time favorite)...

And then I destroy him. Nothing was left standing. But I did realize before I slaughtered him, that Squirtle has purple eyes. I never noticed that.

He must have realized how angry he was so Sycamore says he wants to give me one of them.

Here we go again! Time to randomize!

1 or 2 Bulbasaur. 3 or 4 Charmander. 5 or 6 Squirtle.

Now for a well balanced team I could use Charmander or Squirtle. But I'm rooting for Charmander, since I love the little guy. So let's go!

I roll the die and...

Are you serious? I got a Bulbasaur. No, not Chespin the Bulbasaur. I got Bulbasaur the Bulbasaur. So not only will recording my adventure get confusing (moreso than it already is), but I got another Grass starter...

I ask for a name from a friend and recieve, "Skeeter" as a response. So Skeeter the Bulbasaur it is.

I put Bulbasaur (the Chespin) into my PC as per my rules, that I will store him once I receive six team members, so it's not all that bad. A Grass/Poison type should be helpful, especially against Fairy.

I take the elevator down to the base floor and holy crap!

It's a red-headed Wolverine!

It's Lysandre, the totally not evil looking guy, who created some of the technology that I'm using to capture Pokémon. He talks to me, but I'm too busy trying to think of other people with side-burn-hair-beard like his. 

How about Elvis?

Hold on, that's almost right...

Mirror images.

He runs off and Shauna tells me that she wants to go off on her own for a while.

My prayers were answered. 

All is well.

I'm doing decently in this Nuzlocke and nothing is dead.

Time to finish today.
